Rename?[edit]

Since this is essentially about horse transport by boat, I think it might be better to rename it to make that clearer. When I saw this article linked in the Medieval ships article, I at first wondered what the heck it had to do with ships, and didn't see the connection until I actually read the article.--Tabun1015 03:02, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, I see what you mean. The name given is often used in history books, and I couldn't think of a clearer one when I first moved the material here. If you've got a good name, feel free to move it. Gwinva 07:15, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
How about Horse transports in the Middle Ages? That also solves the problem with the lead. --Grimhelm 17:09, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have added some more images and material to the article, and I think this would make a good DYK; I have forwarded a co-nomination here, and you can propose an alternative hook if you like. --Grimhelm 19:19, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the work on the article: it looks good. This began as planned subsection in Medieval horses, but didn't really fit, so I plonked it here, thinking I might expand it over time, or that it might capture someone else's interest. There's a lot of information around about medieval warfare etc, but not so much much on the logistics of how it all worked.Gwinva 20:21, 12 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
