Mayor or no?[edit]

These two sources [[1]] [[2]] seem to suggest that Mr. Dobbins was not the mayor of pasadena, but either "a wealthy citizen" or "chairman of the City Board of Supervisors" in 1901. List of mayors of Pasadena, California contradicts this, but provides no refs. Anyone have a better reference for mayoralty? Theinterior (talk) 22:19, 27 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

old newspapers, perhaps.. Someone with archives access could probably do the research. riffic (talk) 18:02, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, I appreciate your efforts. This link contains mostly archived LA Times articles from around that particular time period. I know there are people with access to this, librarians for instance. riffic (talk) 19:48, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I contacted the City of Pasadena Public information officer through facebook asking for help. She probably has the access that will clear this up.Theinterior (talk) 21:00, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Check the Pasadena city records, this is his grandson William Dobbins and can also attest to this fact. [email protected] 2603:8000:1B01:81B1:E99C:2256:6B1F:96CF (talk) 01:09, 17 April 2023 (UTC)[reply]
