Reasons[edit]

The article on Thessaloniki has an excessively long history section. I indicated that it needs cutting by half. So as not to loose anything, I transfered the history section of that article onto this one and nothing has been added (exept the intro) or removed; it seemed an appropiate beginning. Thanks. That's why I put my link here[edit]

I have many pictures of a roman, byzantine and ottoman period of the history of the city so I couldn't upload all of them on Wiki Commons - I put link of my website here (where all of them are). --Zagreber (talk) 23:21, 5 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Issue with coin[edit]

The coin shown might have been minted under Cassander (impossible to tell from the obverse, the front), but it actually depicts Herakles. There aren't any coins that show Cassander actually. I suggest some other image take that one's place because of this. Not sure what though. --Jokundubitsky 7/11/21
