Title[edit]

Pink Floyd's Spotify channel has this as "Hey, Hey, Rise Up!"; their Instagram has "Hey Hey Rise Up". Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 19:07, 7 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's also "Hey Hey Rise Up " on Pink Floyd's YouTube channel, and in the video itself. What do people think about moving the article, and swapping the spellings in the lede? Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:06, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
No preference on which version is used, but the difference is trivial and not worthy of mention IMO. Popcornfud (talk) 22:11, 9 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Composition[edit]

We currently have Khlyvnyuk as one of the composers, cited to "liner notes). Pink Floyd. Legacy Recordings"". Can anyone verify this, please? It seems doubtful, as he his only involvement was agree to the use of his rendition of a song written by someone else. Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 11:41, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

It's an arrangement of a song that's over 100 years old. I've put "Traditional" unless somebody can find me a source. "Liner notes" isn't going to be appropriate for a download-only release, it's more for legacy recordings that had physical packaging. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 11:47, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Given the Guardian source (which I had problems accessing yesterday so couldn't check all of it) confirms Gilmour wrote additional music, maybe "Traditional arr. David Gilmour" would be more appropriate. Ritchie333 (talk) (cont) 13:17, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Not traditional; our article on the song credits Stepan Charnetskii. Hence "Stepan Charnetskii, arr. David Gilmour". Andy Mabbett (Pigsonthewing); Talk to Andy; Andy's edits 13:26, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]
"Can anyone verify this?" Yes, I did—that's why the liner notes were sourced. I explained on your user talk page how to access the online credits—I am sure if you have the apps of either Spotify, Apple Music or Tidal, you can also view the fact that Khlyvnyuk is listed as a composer on the song yourself. Ss112 13:31, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Tidal credits states composers as Andriy Khlyvnuk, David Gilmour and Stepan Charnetskii. 2A00:23C5:5082:6101:943:B3AF:3A19:9410 (talk) 16:58, 8 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

First newly recorded since 1994 or 2014[edit]

This claim is wrong as the lyrics for Louder Than Words were composed by Polly Samson during Live 8 performance in 2005 and music was composed in 2014. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:206:8004:2A60:658E:EDB8:9119:C419 (talk) 16:48, 23 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]
