Origin

Does anyone know how they came up with the origin of the characters looks? Because i was watching Invader Zim lately and in the episode "Battle of the Planets" there was an kid who looks similar to Hermes limboing —Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.31.187.142 (talk • contribs)

Well since Futurama started in 1999 and Invader Zim didn't start until 2001 I doubt that was the influence for Hermes, if that's what you're asking. Stardust8212 21:59, 17 November 2007 (UTC)

Homicidal

I think something needs to be added about Hermes homicidal tendencies, such as when he eats a sandwhich full of human parts, or requestion a license to kill, or considering sending everyone into the sun among other things.

Shirley Hemple - misspelled, not a drug reference

According to Closed Captioning, Hermes orders a Shirley Hemphill ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shirley_Hemphill ). "Hemp" being in the name may be intentional, but it is more likely just a contrast of body type/personality joke.

Merger proposal with Amy Wong, Zoidberg, and Hubert J. Farnsworth to form Other primary characters on Futurama

Hello folks,

The page for Hermes Conrad has been nominated for deletion for a third time, but instead of redirecting it to the List of Futurama characters without leaving an adequate description of Hermes like last time, I though that we could merge it along with the other primary characters into one page (with the exception of Fry, Leela, and Bender, who are notable enough for their own pages).

I propose two solutions:

• Option A: This page could be called something along the lines of Other primary characters on Futurama focusing on the four minor primary characters (Amy, Professor Farnsworth, Zoidberg, and Hermes) with their pages all merged into this one
• Option B: Create an article called List of primary Futurama characters or List of Planet Express employees in Futurama that has at least two paragraphs or so on each Planet Express crew member, including characters notable enough for their own articles. Non-notable characters would be redirected to this page, whereas notable characters would still have links to their own pages before their description on this page. The way I see it, Amy and Hermes should definitely be redirected here, while for Zoidberg and Professor Farnsworth, I'm undecided on whether they are notable enough for their own articles. The way that South Park characters are organized seems like a good model for this page, with different categories of characters such as List of South Park characters, List of students at South Park Elementary, List of South Park families, etc.
