Citizenship?[edit]

Are y'all sure he's Austrian. He was born there, but AFAIK he's been in the US since he was about 13. 99.11.160.111 (talk) 23:04, 10 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

According to the German Wikipedia site he's American. For me, that settles it. They also have the year when he got his Bachelor's from Tech, so I added that. I don't know whether you need to change the category "Austrian mathematician" or just add category "American mathematician" or sth. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.11.160.111 (talk) 02:35, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Mention Tech award?[edit]

There's a "House-Flaschka-Ashby Graduate Student Award" named after (among others) his dad. We don't have a page anywhere else. So should this go here or would this be more suitable at the Tech page?? I'll also post there so editors can make up their minds. 99.11.160.111 (talk) 09:39, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Physica D[edit]

The German wiki has him as co-founder and co-editor. I can find him mentioned as editor for several issues in archive ghits. I can't get any good ghits or other info on him being a co-founder, though. Our own Physica (journal) site leaves a lot to be desired. Can someone help with a source? The magazine still seems to exist. [1] These bookghits are the closest I could come [2] - 99.11.160.111 (talk) 15:16, 25 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Got it. It's mentioned in the Wiener prize article. 99.11.160.111 (talk) 14:00, 15 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
