Vidal Quote[edit]

Is it needful to have the Vidal quote displayed so prominenently? Vidal disliked other authors and one catty remark does not seem to merit an entire paragraph. V. Joe (talk) 16:06, 11 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Henry Kissinger "the war itself"[edit]

I've been unable to verify Henry Kissinger's quote describing Wouk's novels War and Remembrance and The Winds of War as "the war itself". I've searched all of the databases that I have access to (JSTOR, LexisNexis and others) and have come up with nothing except for a 2010 Newsweek article that postdates the quote's inclusion here. Since the author of the Newsweek piece may have gotten his information from this Wikipedia article, I don't want to cite it. Does anyone have a source for this quote? Cleanup needed in Selected Books[edit]

Some cleanup is needed in the Selected Books section. "The Lomokome Papers" is duplicated, once in 1947 and once in 1968. The first one has a parenthetical reference that says "(see )", which needs to be fixed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jonesey95 (talkcontribs) 04:54, 13 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Political Affiliations[edit]

According to Wouk’s obituary in the Guardian, Wouk was a Republican. Considering the negative depiction of Keefer and Greenwald’s final monologue in The Caine Mutiny this would not be surprising if it were the case. Why are Wouk’s political affiliations not mentioned in the page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.200.115.29 (talk) 22:48, 30 October 2019 (UTC)[reply]
