[Untitled][edit]

There is nothing in this article about what Hasan Gafoor did (or rather didn't do) during the 2008 terrorist assault on Mumbai. The complete lack of detail on the most incident-filled part of his career is rather suspicious. According to one detailed account of the attacks ('The Siege' written by Cathy Scott-Clark and Adrian Levy) Mr Gafoor apparently spent most of the attack sitting in his command vehicle ordering his officers NOT to do anything and failing to send reinforcements. This left 10 terrorists able to wreak havoc for hours in a city with 40,000 security personnel until the National Security Guard finally arrived all the way from Delhi.

The account of Gafoor in 'The Siege' might be either unfair or inaccurate, but this particular book is well researched and written by a pair of respected authors/investigative journalists. I don't think their words can be ignored completely, which is what this Wikipedia article currently tries to do!

ADDITION TO ABOVE COMMENT. I see someone has now added a line into the article mentioning that Gafoor was in fact indicted for his actions during the Mumbai attacks. Good job, thanks for that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.174.8.204 (talk) 07:49, 15 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
