Mass deletion[edit]

Over the course of a few edits I've had to delete basically this entire article. It was filled with copyrighted material and speculation which was quite problematic given our WP:BLP policy. Previous versions contain a lot of material and sources, but it would not be appropriate to revert to these versions since there were a lot of copyright problems. Rather anyone who is interested in working on this (and I'm afraid I'm not) should dig out the sources and re-write whatever is notable from scratch. I believe in WP:PRESERVE and don't enjoy mass deleting material but our rules about copyright and BLP are pretty unambiguous. --Bigtimepeace | talk | contribs 23:36, 7 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The deletion of the entire article doesn't make any sense. I'm sorry to say this but it had been reduced to a stub-article by you. Saying that it is a copyright-violation might also be a "false alarm" (see http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Copyright_violations). Please also note that http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:NFC#Text doesn't cite any word-limit, so it's not possible to tell what's a quotation and what is a copyright-violation. However, if there are any copyright violations, you can ask other users to contribute/improve by putting it on the requisite list or you can consider contributing yourself. Rewriting the entire article requires effort and you have mass deleted important, well-referenced information. Hence, I'm reverting it back to the earliest complete version.--Laitrapmi (talk) 04:34, 12 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree with User:BigTimepeace, most of the content should be removed. Part of the text has been lifted from [1]. MahangaTalk 23:15, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Copyvio[edit]

I've blanked the page pending copyvio investigation and cleanup, since this appears to be multi-source copyvio, I'm going to list sources here as I find them:

  1. UBS rebuttal section

I removed the text from that one source which was added here. Are there anymore sources?--NortyNort (Holla) 10:48, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Nevermind, I found a bunch of other sources. The article's creator and main contributor seems to have a problem with copyvios and much of this article is or is most likely one. I recommend stubbing it. See the entry at Wikipedia:Copyright problems/2011 June 26.--NortyNort (Holla) 11:11, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Er, my bad, I was busy with the CCI that brought me to this page and I completely forgot about listing the sources on this one. There seem to be a variety of sources and edits from which the copyvio was added and I wasn't able to figure out how far back it goes. Given the quantum of copvios, some form of revdel/deletion should be required. —SpacemanSpiff 11:14, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed, I recommended a stubbing at WP:CP. Unfortunately, the initial version of this article contains a copyvio from http://www.livemint.com/2008/02/02001510/UBS-deal-died-over-unexplained.html.--NortyNort (Holla) 12:03, 4 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Copyright problem removed[edit]

Prior content in this article duplicated one or more previously published sources. Infringing material has been rewritten or removed and must not be restored, unless it is duly released under a compatible license. (For more information, please see "using copyrighted works from others" if you are not the copyright holder of this material, or "donating copyrighted materials" if you are.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or published material; such additions will be deleted. Contributors may use copyrighted publications as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences or phrases. Accordingly, the material may be rewritten, but only if it does not infringe on the copyright of the original or plagiarize from that source. Please see our guideline on non-free text for how to properly implement limited quotations of copyrighted text. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously, and persistent violators will be blocked from editing. While we appreciate contributions, we must require all contributors to understand and comply with these policies. Thank you. Moonriddengirl (talk) 18:19, 10 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
