External Link with historical info and photo of Hubbell founder[edit]

I added an external link to "Hubbell Sockets". Antique Light Sockets. Retrieved 2010-07-10.. It was removed with the edit summary "Little about Hubbell, but lots of errors - "Leeds", "Capitol", etc." I disagree with the little about Hubbell part. i am unsure on the errors, please provide more info. Why didn't US adopt the British plugs and sockets[edit]

Why didn't US adopt the British plugs and sockets ? Had the British taken out US patents on their designs ? How did Hubbell's 1904 invention differ from the British design(s) ? - Rod57 (talk) 18:34, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
