Affordable?[edit]

Anyone care to specify what is meant by 'quite expensive', or provide a link to something substantiating this? I'd like to know what it costs to buy a piece of architectural legend :)

A: Pricing for Habitat apartments is in the $CDN200,000 per block range. It is in fact competitive on a per square meter basis with condos selling in the Montreal region. The "quite expensive" should read "relatively affordable" when you consider that Habitat 67 is a waterfront property 5 minutes from downtown in a major city. 'Relatively affordable?' With a price tag of approx $450K per unit and then co-ownership fees of approx $20K per year, I would hardly use that term. I wonder how well insulated they are, given the extreme weather conditions in that city? 69.196.131.252 (talk) 16:44, 29 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Similar architecture[edit]

The Red Brick Flats in Limehouse, East London bears a striking resemblance to Habitat 67.

- And I've removed the picture from the article. Yes, there is some passing similarity. But it is unrelated to Habitat and its presence confuses readers. Public Housing?[edit]

According to the "Quebec" section of the Public Housing in Canada article (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Public_housing_in_Canada#Quebec) Habitat 67 is a housing project. Can anybody verify that?
