Comparison table[edit]

Why don't we just have the comparison table on all 3 of the device pages.

Bugs[edit]

Two of these items are sourced to xda-developers, which as a forum fails WP:RS, so they have to go. Another item has been confirmed by HTC to be an intentional tweak to the system to optimise HTC Sense, so it's debatable whether this counts as a bug. The other items are among minor, run-of-the-mill issues that every smartphone has when it's released, which get patched after a few weeks and everybody moves on. Well the multitasking issue has been on several tech sites and on a lot of forums. HTC's explanation of it should be somewhere in the article. The two others sourced to a forum include workarounds. I can't find any RS that has the workarounds. The multitouch issue in particular is a serious one, because it prevents the use of most emulators and many games. I would agree with removing the bugs that HTC has said they will fix, once an update is released; then the content can be moved to the changelog. JCDenton2052 (talk) 22:06, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Ok. If a bug has a serious impact on something then of course it should stay (with a WP:RS), but the article has to make the impact clear. In the meantime I'm going to move the multitasking thing somewhere else in the article where it makes more sense, and remove a couple of items again where the sources say that only a small fraction of users are affected. I don't think the article should be mentioning minor bugs and especially not if these minor bugs are only affecting a handful of devices. Any substantial piece of software like this will have very many minor bugs and the article can't be listing them all. – Steel 23:45, 23 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure these really need separate articles. If there was so much information to write about them to the point that it was making this article too long, then it would make sense, but that isn't the case. They're stubs about unbelievably minor variations on one phone. Even the articles say: "Except for different radio bands there are no other hardware differences between the One XL and the LTE model of the One X sold in North America. Seriously? The difference between these and the Tegra 3 one is still only a processor and storage capacity. Having three articles on identical phones is silly and just more confusing for the reader (and harder for us to maintain). – Steel 12:50, 27 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The separation isn't done because of lot of text that can't fit on one page. It's to make it easier for the average person to see exactly what specifications the phones have, which gets confusing when 3 different versions are grouped together on one page. For example, the infoboxes are both easier to read and more correct as it is now.— Preceding unsigned comment added by User931 (talk • contribs)

To be honest infobox was perfectly readable as it was (see for example this revision). The vast majority of the specs are identical across all the devices (there's really only two) and in the three or four cases where they differ the bolding makes it quite clear. – Steel 21:12, 30 May 2012 (UTC)[reply]
5 if you counted networks as well. But I listen, look at my suggestion now with a comparison table between the two versions. For HTC One XL I still think it should have a separate page because of the different name, and in Europe the two models will be sold next to each other as two models. User931 01:41 31 May 2012

The main differences between the One X and the One XL(One X A&T) are physical. One is slightly longer than the other and they have the 5 charging contacts on the back in a lower position, and from anecdotal evidence I've seen, it appears that the camera lens is also in a slightly different position. This means that there are two totally separate lines of accessories for these devices, which coupled with the naming of the device is leading to confusion in the market place. I think that's more notable than the the different radio bands they are compatible with.--BrotherEstapol (talk) 09:19, 18 June 2012 (UTC)[reply]
