I am not ironic![edit]

This article, or rather the style in which the current version is written, illustrates various encyclopaedic problems. The sentence <<The novel is regarded as a witty and ironic settlement by Solstad with the Norwegian communist movement and in particular the party AKP(m-l)>> uses weasel words. These are subjective interpretations, not lexical facts – and I notice this (and say this) not only since I happen to disagree with several of these interpretations. It is not a coincidence that a book with interviews with Solstad is titled I am not ironic. For me, as a Solstad reader, the Gymnaslærer Pedersens beretning om den store politiske vekkelse som har hjemsøkt vårt land is neither particularly "witty" nor particularly "ironic".

Also, there would be better English equivalents than "plagued" to "hjemsøkt"? Respectfully, Slavatrudu 19:56, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. I think this article is quite subjective and needs both expansion and improvement. If you would like to improve, by all means do! Be Bold! With regards to the name, probably there is a better translation. I tried to find one, a found only a unofficial one from a news/film site (the single reference in the article). - Kristod (talk) 20:31, 3 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
