The U.S. has not confirmed Khalimov's death. He's still listed as wanted.[edit]

The Russians are unreliable. They claimed they killed Baghdadi was killed yet he's still alive.

If someone has a photo of Khalimov's corpse or a statement from ISIS, provide it. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 47.196.33.194 (talk) 15:00, 10 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]

The US military isn't the ultimate arbiter on whether someone is dead or alive; nor is it necessary to have a picture of the guy's corpse or admission from Daesh that he's dead (while Daesh has sometimes confirmed the deaths of its members, with it now in terminal decline, putting the word out that yet another of its members is dead doesn't seem in its interest). That said, I do see your point re. the Russians, and I don't disagree with reverting it back from a biography-of-a-confirmed-dead-person. When I changed it from a biography of a living to a dead person, there was a reliable independent expert/source (https://www.al-monitor.com/pulse/authors/maxim-suchkov.html this guy, on this site); but the cited article has since been removed or inaccessibly archived. FWIW I think he's very likely dead, but due to the place and manner of his death, I don't think it'll ever be confirmed. bridies (talk) 12:02, 24 March 2018 (UTC)[reply]
