Year of Griess publication[edit]

Most papers give the year of the original publication of the Griess assay as 1879. Upon reading the publications, this appears to be the more correct option. I am no chemist, but in the 1858 article Griess is not describing it as clearly as in 1879 (or something else entirely?). Striderjo (talk) 20:35, 6 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]
