There's a citation needed note on the information about Graffin living in Lansing, NY. I'm from Lansing and I know he lives there or at least did as of a few years ago, because he spoke at my high school once and a friend of mine used to baby sit for him. Changing Sentence[edit]

I suggest adjusting the last sentence of the first body paragraph.. The statement: "Bad Religion is known for its wordy, often political lyrics as well as its intricate harmonies and melodies mixed with straightforward, fast-paced punk music," is a choppy compilation of poorly chosen, imprecise words. The new structure should read like this: "Bad Religion is a punk-rock band known for its articulate and often politically charged lyrics as well as its musically sophisticated (yet fast-paced) harmony, melody and counterpoint."

The rationale here is to highlight the two major factors separating BR from other punk bands: Dr. Greg and Mr. Brett are talented guys; they seem to have invented a verb like "to thesaurize." Even this is unfair, though, as the allusions of many songs span at least the three languages with which I am familiar (There's something interpretive on my talk page about a BR song to explain this - it's my personal favorite), and the natural rhythms of every line of nearly every song match up so flawlessly that (I speculate) no word substitution must be taking place during their lyric-writing process. "Top 5 biologists in the world"[edit]

I removed the claim that Graffin was regarded as one of the top 5 biologists in the world, as it was unsourced, provided no further details (regarded by whom?) and frankly, is a little unbelievable for someone who only got their Ph.D a few years ago. --Awesome 11:08, 24 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Los Angeles?[edit]

Personal Life[edit]

Shouldn't there be a little more than just his schooling, teaching, works, etc. Something a little more personal? As in, how many wives has he had, who were these wives, does he have children, if so, how many? Racine or Madison[edit]

His Ph.D. dissertation has been published in two editions: "Evolution, Monism, Atheism, and the Naturalist World-View: Perspectives from Evolutionary Biology", Polypterus Press,[Ithaca, N.Y.], (2004) and "Evolution and Religion: Questioning the Beliefs of the World's Eminent Evolutionists", Polypterus Press, Ithaca, N.Y. (2010). "Cornell Evolution Project" is the name of his website, not the title of his dissertation. Born in?[edit]

Currently the article says Graffin is born in Racine, Wisconsin. But IMDB says he is born in Madison, Wisconsin, and argue that "Before moving to Racine, Wisconsin his parents spent some years in Evanston, Illinois." So what is the truth? Timelezz (talk) 02:35, 21 November 2013 (UTC)[reply]
