Merger proposal[edit]

I propose merging Number Nine (Japanese ver.) / Kioku: Kimi ga Kureta Michishirube into this article. The song article is short and doesn't say much, and there is probably little that could be legitimately added to it to make the article better. The material would be better served being discussed in this article instead, to fill out the album article better. Most songs fail song notability requirements, and per WP:SONGS, most songs should not have standalone articles. Please share your comments. Shinyang-i (talk) 05:40, 9 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

  • Strong oppose. The song is notable. The article is not a stub and contains some useful information. The article is expandable. If you redirect it, you will prevent people from expanding it. You will deny Wikipedia the opportunity to grow. --Moscow Connection (talk) 13:48, 10 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • "Not a stub" does not necessarily equal "good". And actually, in terms of actual content, it is very much a stub as nearly all of the room is taken up by track listings for the gazillion different versions of the single. There's really no info about the song as an actual piece of music. And, "useful information" also does not necessarily mean "stuff that belongs on Wikipedia." So, as usual, prove it's notable and that it can legitimately become a high-quality article that conforms with the requirements and desires of WP:SONGS. The burden is on you. Have at it. • Support. I see no reason why these two articles shouldn't be merged. The song article says very little, and all the relevant information is already in the album article. Both articles have no third-party reliable sources to show notability, but even assuming they are both notable I don't think it makes sense to have two separate articles when there isn't much to say. • Strong oppose. The song stand on its own as a single release. The song also achieved several nominations and charts which is different from the full album. The full album also does not contains song which only released on this single. Roslee78 (talk) 08:32, 9 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]
