PROD[edit]

I have removed the proposal to delete this page as it seems established practise that nearby stars deserve a page of their own (not just the ones with planetary systems). See for instance Gliese 902 which has been present on Wikipedia since 2008. At least not immediately obvious that it should be deleted. Also the Spanish version of wikipedia lists this star and has listed it since 2010.

Also many pages on wikipedia link to this one Special:WhatLinksHere/Gliese_146

I used material from the corresponding page on the Spanish version of wikipedia to help locate sources to fill out some of the details. Have started on the starbox, which is a long job of course, others might like to contribute there.

The Spanish page has other details mainly, the temperature of the star, and known nearby stars.

The Spanish page says its temperature is 4520 K, but the reference given for this doesn't seem to list this star or its temperature and I haven't yet seen the temperature in the other refs. So have left that out for now.

See Gliese 146 on the Spanish version of wikipedia.

CelestialRef[edit]

This template currently adds the number "10" right up close to the name of the star, and "10" is wikilinked to page 146 about the year 146 AD. This makes no sense. What CelestialRef is meant to do, I don't know, but it surely isn't meant to do this. So I have commented it out. Andrew Dalby 14:40, 20 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
