Possibly renaming article?[edit]

Hi, I write a lot of articles about bats, and often find myself linking to gleaning (birds) and hawking (birds) quite often. As these are strategies employed by many insectivorous bats, I feel it would be more precise to move these articles to perhaps "gleaning (insectivores)" and "hawking (insectivores)." And of course I'd be willing to add bat-related content to these articles to reflect updated, more inclusive names. Any other thoughts on renaming? Enwebb (talk) 01:52, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Might it make more sense to write an article specifically for bats? After all, they're likely to have quite different ways of hunting. I can't see bats climbing tree trunks in search of prey, for example, or hunting from a perch. MeegsC (talk) 08:52, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Can't think of any examples of the former, but some bats like Megaderma lyra do hunt from perches. The article could be split into sections for birds and bats. Enwebb (talk) 20:23, 31 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
