Overlinking[edit]
I don't see how adding some {{cite book}} and a {{imdb name}} link for the subject can be considered "over linking", so I have restored some of my previous edits ... BTW, please see WP:OWN. —72.75.73.158 13:24, 6 May 2007 (UTC)

- The
{{cite book}}template provides a uniform style agreed upon by consensus, and encourages its use by new editors who look to other articles for examples ... I've seen articles that used multiple different styles, and it was just coyote ugly ... as for{{imdb name}}, why would you not want to use it? —72.75.73.158 13:53, 6 May 2007 (UTC)- I'm just not into templates. Personal preference plus the server load they demonstrate, plus the difficulty in using them. On top of that, for all these articles on the exploitation film stuff I'm doing, I already have the refs mapped out in one approved way, so it's an easy c/p for me. - I'm a WP:GNOME ... it's what I do. :-) The fact that you do use a consistent format is what makes it so easy to apply the template ... I can paste "
{{cite book |title=" on the beginning of each line, and since "|first=", "|last=", and"|coauthors="can appear in any order, I don't have to change "Bob Smith" to get "Smith, Bob", and then Some Other Editor (ordefaultsort) can alphabetize by author. - BTW, I tweaked One Too Many, but left The Prince of Peace alone ... more than I felt like doing on one session if I have to do a manual sort (but only 'cause it's a Short List) ... and now back to Newpage Patrol and just adding
