Deportation of the Danish Jews[edit]

Why is the leniency of the German occupation rated by the number of Jews deported? Wasn't the Danes being allowed to keep their own government more important?203.184.41.226 (talk) 01:27, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I agree that the deportation (or lack of) the Danish Jews are not terribly important for this particular article subject which is the invasion. For that it would seem more important that the German occupation forces allowed a Danish government to continue, and the deportation of the Danish Jews didn't occur until 3 years after the events described in this article. You are welcome to change the information yourself, just remember to apply reliable sources. Cheers. --Saddhiyama (talk) 01:35, 1 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Agreed. I have put in some information about how the army was reduced after the invasion, but it still needs more information on the immediate military, political, social, and economic effects on Denmark.Indy beetle (talk) 07:39, 14 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Greenland[edit]

Hi,

wouldn't it be useful to mention Greenland, or at least link to eg. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Greenland_in_World_War_II, or Sirius Patrol?

This article is about a specific military operation which didn't involve Greenland in any way. A better place for mentioning the role of Greenland would be Denmark in World War II, which does already have a paragraph on it and a link to that article. Hut 8.5 20:51, 9 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, thx, I'm sure you're right. I guess it's a matter of how you define "Denmark". This page covers the part of Denmark included in the "Operation Weserübung", then; i.e. the mainland, so to speak.

Why do we use a disambiguation? No other article about a German invasion of Denmark appears to exist on Wikipedia. Super Ψ Dro 18:34, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

In the Second Schleswig War the German Confederation invaded Denmark. Srnec (talk) 23:43, 16 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
