I've started revising some of the figures in this article which asserts that China has the largest geothermal capacity in the world, but does not clarify whether thats potential capacity or not. I know at the moment that China does not produce anywhere near the amount of geothermal energy that other countries, such as Iceland and the USA, produce. As far as I know America is still the largest user of geothermal energy (though, due to America's overall energy usage, it is a very small fraction of used electricity).
