Contradiction[edit]

Who is this article about, George Warde or James Wolfe? Died in 1759 or 1803? GregorB (talk) 16:13, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have now removed all mention of Wolfe Dormskirk (talk) 22:21, 14 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Confusion of two people[edit]

This article has confused two General George Wardes, uncle (1725-1803) and nephew (1760-1830).

The uncle, who this article is about, was a childhood friend of Gen. Wolfe and served as Commander-in-Chielf, Ireland etc.

The nephew married Charlotte Madan and lived at Clyne Castle, Swansea (then called Woodland Castle).

I have removed the parts about the nephew.
