Birth year and baptism[edit]

He is stated to have been born in 1854 at Dudley but in Shropshire Cricketers 1844-1998 by Tony Percival he is stated to have been "c[hristened] 28.9.1853, Halesowen, Worcestershire", which is near Dudley. I have therefore altered the birth year in the infobox to 1853 and moved him to category of 1853 births. It remains for someone able to do this to change the article heading accordingly.Cloptonson (talk) 21:29, 19 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
