George Brandt?[edit]

Date of birth[edit]

There are about 7,000 Google hits for 26 June 1694, but almost 40,000 for 21 July 1694. That's not conclusive, but I think the balance is for 21 July. -- JackofOz (talk) 09:05, 31 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Well, rather than Googling, I checked two sources in Swedish, which both have to be classified as reliable. The encyclopedia Nordisk familjebok (1905) and the Royal Swedish Academy of Science's list of members 1739-1915 (published in 1915) both list him as born 26 June 1694. Oh, didn't you know that photography was first dicovered in Sweden (around 1742)? It must be one of the *very first* pictures ever taken... This invention is the country's own addition to world heritage, not to mention the establishment of the world famous swedish bikini team.
