Comments[edit]

Rather than merging I think "Geometric Period" should be redirected to "Geometric Style", since the former leaves a lot to be desired from an encyclopedia article and contains nothing that isn't in "Geometric style" or the pages it links to. Twospoonfuls 08:24, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

After looking at both articles from the standpoint of a non-expert, I did the merge by the cut'n'paste method; the text actually contained very little overlapping information. Both are very lacking because they don't cite sources - which means that I have no possibility of verifying which is more correct. --Alvestrand 15:57, 18 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Since "Geometric art" encompasses Mondrian and Op Art, a better descriptive encyclopedia title for this article could be found.--Wetman (talk) 16:34, 8 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Why isn't this a disambiguation? Since geometric art is more commonly synonymous with Islamic art for much of the world. I'm not arguing that this isn't geometric art, only that it is not the only thing referred to as such. --Gigglezchuckles 16:07, 30 October 2014

There is a disproportionate amount of information about the Late Geometric vs the Early and Middle. There are only 8 references, and some facts do no have a citation with them. Esharrett (talk) 22:54, 14 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Examples[edit]

I like the information but I think it would be helpful to have more picture examples of different phases of geometric pottery so the differences can be more clear.
