Yes, the two probably should be merged. Geographic profiling was the original term used. --70.113.41.197

The Geographical profiling article isn't quite an accurate description, nor the proper term. I don't see anything useful in that article, to add and merge to this article. As 70.113.41.197 says, Geographic profiling is the correct term. --Aude 03:11, 29 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Section removal[edit]

In re: [1]

The changes I made to this article ARE constructive. I initiated the original article, however, someone added superfluous and inaccurate content which I have - unsuccessfully - tried to delete. The commentary based on Holmes and Holmes book was not about the development of a geographic profile, but rather was Stea's (1969) list of elements in the perception of distance. As written, this was section was confusing and extraneous to the Wikipedia article. 66.25.164.249 (talk) 04:45, 14 March 2011 (UTC) <-- copied here from User talk:66.25.164.249 by User:Aude -->[reply]

Use EDIT SUMMARIES! How are we supposed to know what your rationale is for deleting whole sections? If you don't explain your edits it just looks like vandalism and will be reverted. -- œ 10:30, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]
