Birth year[edit]

The NY Times obituary cited in this article states that Gene Cherico died at age 62,

"...Gene Cherico, a jazz bassist...died on Friday at a Santa Monica convalescent home. He was 62..."

Which would imply his birth year was 1932. However most sources (?) seem to indicate his birth year was 1935, making him 59 at his death in 1994.

If anyone knows of a reliable source that can confirm / deny the birth year assumption/error in the NY Times obituary, please reference it in the article. Pugetbill (talk) 00:55, 27 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]
