Which year?[edit]

It says (b. July 11), but what year? RJFJR 23:51, 26 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

The problem has not been adequately fixed by the addition of "194X" as the year of birth. This isn't even standard format, in my experience, for saying we don't know which year of a decade is the correct one; most reference sources I see would have an estimated year (e.g. "1945?") or might use circa 1945.Lawikitejana 16:30, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

POV problems[edit]

This article has the enthusiasm of an advertisement/fanzine article, rather than a straight bio. Will be working on making the article more encyclopedia bio-like. Narrowed down birth decade to the 1940s, but still haven't found it. Deirdre 18:04, 28 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Major rework[edit]

I have made quite a few changes to the page, including adding sections, to make it more like a Wikipedia article should be. I've also modified the wording throughout to make it more professional and less I'm-such-a-fan-ish. Even though it could still use some more work, I think it looks good enough now to remove the cleanup tag, so I will do so. If someone feels otherwise, they can fix it (of course), or they can put the tag back. --Cromwellt | Talk 21:52, 30 September 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I put the tag back, but only on the "1988 and after" section, because I didn't feel I had background to properly fix segments like the long quote that goes in and out of first-person voice. I did do a number of fixes on other sections, especially the advertising discussion (which tended to ramble on about the companies and ads in a confusing way). I left in the empty link to Craftmatic adjustable beds because I'm going to try to make a stub article, and if I don't, I feel certain someone will. The product/company is also mentioned in other articles, including one for the popular MTV show, "Remote Control." I'm also about to fix a line that says, "He married his wife, Terry Hunter," where the term "his wife" seems redundant. Even if same-sex marriage were to become common in the U.S. (note that hers is a unisex first name), the reflexive pronoun "herself" still keeps things clear.Lawikitejana 16:43, 15 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]
