Anglicisation[edit]

To Flyer22 Reborn and anyone else who wishes to write Fyodor's name as Fedor:

The Cyrillic letter 'Ë' represents the sound of 'YO' in Russian. The title of this page is already Fyodor. It is more common in English to anglicise the name Фёдор as Fyodor (c.f. Fyodor Dostoevsky).

For these reasons, please don't vandalise a considered editing of the page to create consistency and logic, by changing it back to Fedor (sic). This is akin to saying that the USSR (Soyuz Sovetskikh Sotsialisticheskikh Respublik) is pronounced CCCP (just because it looks like such)! Or that Moscow should be pronounced 'Mockva'.

Award[edit]

The article incorrectly states he was awarded the Order of Friendship of Peoples, with the ribbon illustrated. This award was abolished in 1991 with the fall of the Soviet Union. The Russian Federation replaced it with the Order of Friendship. It has a predominantly blue ribbon and medal, which corresponds to the medal visible in the photo of Konyukhov. Please correct this.
