Hmm[edit]

Per List of colonial governors of French Somaliland, this page seems to be misrepresenting the actual name of the colony for most of its existence. Which page is wrong? — $Llywelyn II$ 17:32, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Sultanate of Tadjoura[edit]

Just found today that there was apparently a sultanate based in Tadjoura before the French colonised Djibouti. French Coast of the Somalis!?[edit]

I've read quite a bit about the history of the Somalie française, or the Côte française des Somalis (official). In English, it is called either French Somaliland or, less often, the Somali Coast. I've never come across this "French Coast of the Somalis"! Why on earth can someone be allowed to singlehandedly make such a nonsensical change?
