Namesake[edit]

I think it would be interesting to know who Frederick S. Pardee was, and why the school is named for him. (at this time of this post, there was no article about him. --rogerd 15:10, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Pardee worked as an economic analyst at RAND from 1957 to 1971 and then became a real estate investor. He founded PBM Quality Apartment Homes, an investment firm that owns and operates apartment complexes in and around Los Angeles. The school was named for him in appreciation of his $10 million donation to it, of which he said, "I consider it a gift to the world, because PRGS graduates will work to change the world for the better." Expanded article with current information about the school[edit]

In the interest of transparency, I am the web editor for the RAND Corporation website, and was previously the web editor for the PRGS site. I just expanded the Pardee RAND Graduate School article with current information about the school, including academics, admissions, and on-the-job training. A. The school has an update for the "Academics" section: As of January 2012, PRGS has awarded 281 Ph.D. degrees. A. Rizzo (talk) 21:55, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Also, under "Accreditation," the school was reaccredited for 10 years by the Senior Commission of the Western Association of Schools and Colleges in 2011. http://www.wascsenior.org/apps/institutions/pardee-rand-graduate-school A. Rizzo (talk) 22:12, 23 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Since no one else edited the article I just made the two updates listed above. A. Rizzo (talk) 14:29, 19 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Notable alumni[edit]

This should really be for the ones notable enough to have a Wikipedia article.--MattyMetalFan (talk) 18:49, 22 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]
