Secret service[edit]

Morris would not have "spoken to the secret service" about making this film. Individuals in the secret service don't even reveal their identities to Special Branch. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.154.176.176 (talk) 23:37, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I've added a "fact" tag to that - that whole sentence ("Morris claims to have ... writing the script in 2007") is footnoted with a reference which doesn't mention Morris having spoken to a single one of those sources ~dom Kaos~ (talk) 23:28, 13 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Spoilers[edit]

Brilliant spoiler there...great —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.140.9.181 (talk) 14:39, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about that, but please see Wikipedia:Spoiler. –CapitalLetterBeginning (talk) 16:04, 10 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I agree we shouldn't be giving away a spolier, nor should we fall foul of wiki policy on spoilers. I have changed the text to "try to blow themselves up" as this gets across the plot well, without saying whether this is succesful or not. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.253.169.251 (talk) 13:19, 13 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Languages[edit]

I dont know where to put this. But a lot of the dialogue in the film (and thus the language used) was in Punjabi, which was used a lot more than Urdu in the film, and certainly more than Arabic. Actually one of the scnes was meant to show him talking down Barry's ability to speak Urdu, whilst speaking Punjabi. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.111.248.103 (talk) 14:21, 11 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Rip Off?[edit]

This movie seems to have taken extreme inspiration from the Danish sitcom, THE TERRORCELL, produced by the Danish TV company Respirator, that depicts 4 stupid terrorist, trying to blow up different targets in each episode. The pilot was made and presented at the Cannes MIP Festival in 2007, so even though the writer CLAIMS, that he have been working since 2007, it is quite possible, that he heard about the idea, from one of the many British broadcasters, that showed a great deal of interest in the format. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 194.182.139.62 (talk) 14:00, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Got a source? Geoff B (talk) 14:28, 5 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, people should be careful of crying "rip off" especially when you consider that the most obvious inspiration for Four Lions is Omar, Abdul and Shafiq, the incompetent terrorists from the 2004 & 2005 series of Monkey Dust. Maybe we should asking the Danes where they got their idea from...? Nick Cooper (talk) 10:10, 10 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Bradford/Sheffield?[edit]

The first introduction says Sheffield, the Plot says Bradford. All camera work was done in Sheffield, so unless someone knows otherwise, is this a mistake? Boromadloon (talk) 10:54, 25 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Some filming also took place in Doncaster (the airport scene), is that worth mentioning? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.141.75.139 (talk) 20:41, 4 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
