Why Charlie Ryan's Song, why not Arkie Shibley's song

Why is Charlie Ryan's song chosen to remember the Model A? Ryan's song was a response to Arkie Shibley's Song, The Hot Rod race. Shibley's song ends when his V8 ford and opponent's Mercury are overtaken by a 'kid in a hopped-up Model A' Ryan's song was a response, claiming he was the kid in the model A which in the song he calls a Lincoln! Probably because it has a transplanted Lincoln V-12 engine. The Hot Rod race was the first popular car race song and the Model A's role in it is says more about the importance of Model As than does Ryan's follow on.
