Fairly high?[edit]

Flt Lt is the highest junior officer rank. Hardly "fairly high". It's #2 on a list that goes up to 9. I'd call that fairly low. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.84.75.99 (talk) 23:51, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Flight commanders in World War I[edit]

Becoming a flight commander in World War I in the RFC/RAF entailed being promoted/brevetted to Captain. Could there be some mention of this somewhere? Maybe in a history of the term?
