How do Sudanese who aren't Muslim feel about this flag? Do they accept it as their flag or is it disputed? Do they have another flag which they feel represents them better? ifihadlegs 22:31, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Well, the post-1969 flag is more Arab nationalist than specifically Islamic symbolism, but you can see File:Flag of the SPLAM.svg ... AnonMoos (talk) 14:52, 10 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sudan and Libya[edit]

The current 1970 Sudanese flag is quite similar to the 1969-1972 Libyan flag. Did Sudan copied Libya's flag?

There were quite a few similarities in the 1950s-1980s: The Iraq 1963-1991 flag was the same as the Syria 1963-1972 flag etc. The basic red-white-black horizontal tricolor is a Nasserist symbol of Arab nationalism... AnonMoos (talk) 02:51, 9 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
