Contested deletion[edit]
This article should not be speedily deleted for lack of asserted importance because Fishkill Farms is a community icon in the Hudson Valley and has been around for over 100 years and was started by a former US Secretary to the Treasury. The present status of the article as a stub is simply the beginning and will be filled out in the next week when more research has been conducted.
This page was created by students for a college course. We are unaffiliated with the Farm despite other editors' claims of bias. Please make suggestions on how to fix our article or even think about doing it yourself, but please please please do not delete!
Fishkill farms is of historic importance. The fact that Wikipedia had any information helped me in my research on FDR because I had run upon a reference to it in Henry Morgenthau's diary. On April 18, 1940 Morgenthau wrote in his diary that Roosevelt had repeated to him two or three times, "Next years wedding anniversary will be at Fishkill Farms." FDR was telling Morgenthau that he was not going to run for reelection. But Morgenthau did not take FDR's statements at face value writing, "I believe he was sincere although his plans for a National Cabinet contradict his toast." I can add information to strengthen this article but it is going to take some time.
