Expanding this article[edit]

Hello. I work for C-SPAN and know that I have a conflict of interest with this article. I’ve had some help in putting together an expanded draft and would like editors to look at it to see if material can be added to the live article. Everything I’m suggesting be added is in a draft in my user space. All new details have reliable sources. The main changes are as follows: An updated introduction to add mention of the companion book and rerun of the series; Added a new section after the intro called "Background and production" with information on the creation of the show and how it was structured; Added a new section called "Other media" with details on the TV series' companion book and interactive websites; and Added the White House Historical Association's official website in the "External links" section.

Here's where you can find the draft: User:C-SPAN Jeremy/First Ladies:Influence & Image

Thanks!

Hello. I posted a request to expand this article at the Teahouse on June 25, 2015. Cullen328 kindly looked the draft over and questioned the need to include the names of the producers and academic advisors. If editors see that information in the body of the article as being too promotional, I am happy to delete it. Does anyone have a different perspective? Also, if all are in agreement about that deletion being needed, would anyone be willing to take the proposed expansion live if I made that change in my draft?
Thanks!

Moving forward with updates[edit]

Hello Wikipedians. Over the last two-plus months, I have followed Wikipedia's guidelines on conflict of interest editing and have sought help in different places to update and expand this article. Unfortunately, I have had no luck so far in those efforts, so in the spirit of Wikipedia, I am being bold and have made the edits myself. My hope is that by making these uncontroversial changes, editors can more easily review and make any edits they think are needed in the live article.

For transparency and posterity, here is a rundown of what I have done since originally posting this draft in my user space on May 21, 2015: posted twice to this very Talk page; reached out to four individual editors I thought might be interested in looking at this article; posted a request for help at the Wikipedia Teahouse; and have reached out to editors through the television and women's history WikiProjects. It was at the Teahouse where I began a nice conversation with one editor, but he declined to evaluate my proposal because he said he did not have the experience to properly do so. An individual editor I reached out to seemed interested in the draft, but was limited with his wiki schedule. I want to work with the Wikipedia community so any feedback and / or edits needed would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks!
