Agree I think the more substantial content exists in the other article, but this is a better name, using the essential name as the primary title and the field qualifier in parentheses. We have been ducking this issue for some time now- So I am proposing to make a broadside attack on the article over the next week or too. Kindly advise for definition part of the article[edit]

Hi! The definition part of this article is missing the stages of fiber and yarn finishing. May I suggest the following:

Textile finishing is a broad range of physical and chemical processes/treatments that complete one stage of textile manufacturing and may be preparing for the next step. And makes the product more receptive to the next phases/steps of manufacturing. It also adds value to the product and makes it more useful and functional for the end-user. Textile finishing is the sequence of operations other than scouring, bleaching, dyeing, and printing, which contributes to every step of textile manufacturing, such as fiber, yarn, fabric, and garment making also.
