Expansion[edit]

I managed to update the list for these awards for all the four languages from 1972 till the mid 1980s. But still can't find data for sources before 1972. I doubt whether they gave awards for "Best Actor" and "Best Actress" before 1972. --Thalapathi (Ping Back) 03:27, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Do not change unless reliable sources are used[edit]

Now it's very clear that major awards (Best Actor, Best Actress and Best Dir) were given only from 1972 except for films. So pls don't add from 1953 especially for Filmfare Best Actor Award (Telugu) and Filmfare Best Actress Award (Telugu). --Thalapathi (Ping Back) 16:54, 5 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Titles of awards[edit]

The format "Filmfare Best _____ Award (_____)", where the first blank is the type of award (actor, film, playback singer, etc.) and the second blank is where the language in which the award is presented, is incorrect. In the ceremonies, the award is actually written in the format "Filmfare Award for Best ______ - ______", where the first blank is the type of award (actor, film, playback singer, etc.) and the second blank is where the language in which the award is presented. This format is also consistent with other award titles, especially the Bollywood Filmfare Awards, such as Filmfare Award for Best Actor. Thus, I've moved almost all the awards to the mentioned format, for example Filmfare Award for Best Actor - Tamil. EelamStyleZ (talk) 15:48, 16 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
