La vs. Le

This article *should* be titled "Fifi La Fume" since "La" is feminine and "Le" is masculine. I've tried moving the page but it won't let me. If someone could correct this and make "Fifi Le Fume" the redirect I would be grateful. --Spengs 01:54, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

• That makes sense, but to be quite honest, I think you may need a real definitive source that says that "La Fume" is her actual name first. Both of them get around the same number of hits on Google, and IMDB and similar sites list the role as "Le Fume". But if you get some real proof, you should go to Wikipedia:Requested moves and follow the instructions there, and an admin will perform the move. WarpstarRider 08:09, 28 March 2007 (UTC)

• I agree with Spengs. I used to be on the old mailing lists (before the days of forums) and everyone KNEW it was La Fume. I think somewhere it had been written down, and whenever characters say her name in episodes it's a clear LA Fume, not LE. Possible masochist exaggeration

After reading this article, it seems that this article was inspired by and suggests feministic masochism. After watching some episodes of the cartoon show in which this character is portrayed, some elements of the article's description and theme of this character (and in certain episodes cited) seem to be fabricated, misrepresented, or exaggerated in order to arouse a lucid fantasy of "girl power" paraphiliacs. I suggest a look at some episodes of this discontinued show on Youtube before taking this article at face value. --Wykypydya 01:10, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

In regards to the feminism bit, she never really displayed much of it in the show itself (outside of being a domineering kind of female character, molesting boys and being very physically fit). The mention of her being a "feminist" was included mostly because its mentioned in her official character run-down as written by the dudes at Warner Bros (there's a link to it in this article). I've seen every episode of the cartoon, and you're right, she doesn't really do much of that "girl power!" jazz. Perhaps the remark in this article about her being "somewhat of a feminist" should have a mention afterward explaining how it was in her character bio but not used prominantly in the show? --Spengs 02:18, 15 February 2007 (UTC)

A passion for Fifi

• I've never been a big fan of the pairing. Partially because it goes against the grain of the "classic" skunk/cat gag, and also because it was done for political correctness and the sake of convenience. Buster, Plucky and Hamton were the three lead boys, Babs, Shirley and Fifi were the three lead girls, so they naturally paired Fifi and Hamton up for the convenience of it all, even if it was out of the blue and didn't really make sense. Always seemed forced to me. I also blame their mutual relationship as the primary reason aside from political correctness that we only ever got 2 classic "skunk chases cat/coyote/whatever" cartoons. The pairing of Fifi and Hamton seemed very forced and pointless and I never really liked it. But meh, the show's been cancelled for over ten years. • I question if perhaps there can be a future or someone did a fanfiction of possibly Furrball trying his hand at true love with Fifi. Though there were listings that depicted there wasn't a relationship of such able to go on, I just had these odd imaginations about a teenage Furrball finding his voice and seeking out a way to be past the barriers of what his limitations have been putting on him, not to mention getting a strange feeling for the one and only Fifi Le Fume. These feelings grow to where his voice is heard and he tries to prove himself to her in the Clique love scenes that depict something like this or what not. It lists the japanese voice for Fifi?

Do you really need that? It doesn't make much sense to randomly tell us who does the voice in japanese, I mean why tell us the japanese voice and not say...the german voice. Noone here watches the japanese version, we just watch the english one. Unless there's some subbed version of japanese tiny toons that came out..which would be kinda weird.

The Logic of Sequels

For some time, some individual has been presuming and telling all over the web that Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow takes place after Out of Odor. His reason to that is merely because Fifi was captured in Out of Odor and is seen held captive in Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow. But this isn't enough to confirm it. Why? Sequels are suppose to air after a the initial chapter, but the two episodes go the opposite way. Also, sequels are suppose to contain flash back scenes of the episode that took place before it. Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow perhaps doesn't have any. With regards to the way the episodes were aired, he said the animators did just to show how the skunk got captured after showing the supposed continuation. But this idea appears to only come from him, not a direct statement from the animators themselves. How did Fifi got held captive in Hare Today, Gone Tomorrow? Perhaps it's the same with the other animals, unknown.

The series is episodic, meaning that stories are limited to a single episode, and events rarely carry over to other stories. Although order doesn't really matter; the only real order available is either the airing order, or the production order. Trying to match up episodes and put them in another order is implying that the series is a serial, and the writers messed up the production. The anonymous person also makes the fallacy of assuming that Fifi hasn't been captured and escaped multiple times, and if she's seen captured in one episode and escaped in another, then obviously she escaped from that specific capture; he/she is trying to pass off one fan theory as fact by putting these episodes in this forced order, using weasel words like "some fans believe" to give it credibility that it doesn't deserve. -- VederJuda 13:41, 10 June 2007 (UTC)

Well, Fifi does appear in the story "Buttering Up The Buttfields" which comes after "Out of Odor" in the episode "Viewer Mail Day". Does anybody think it should remain unknown how Fifi escaped Elmyra after "Out of Odor"? Please let me know! Tkerekes13 8:17, 12 June 2007 (UTC)

Like Fifi, there are other animals that ended up getting captured by Elmyra. These include a dog who thought Elmyra could change, and a singing frog. How they escape is obscure and perhaps it's the same for Fifi.

In a lot cartoon episodes these days, some characters got themselves into impossible situations. True they seem to be free from it in the next episode, but that perhaps is a different story. Take Blossom of the PPG for example. She ended up going to prison for stealing hockey sticks in one episode. But she appeared to be free in the next. What happened? Fans are those who appreciate and adore things such as tv sitcoms. Because they do so, they dare tell to so many and wish their ideas to be regarded as facts. However, their concepts may lie between well-clarified or make-belief. In order for it to be confirmed, that idea has to be admitted by the staff involved in that show. Unofficial Statements

Some ideas regarding episodes maybe agreed by certain individuals but they are not approved by the animators. Therefore, those ideas are unofficial amd must not be accepted as facts. They can be misleading.

In a Nintendo game called Punch Out, there's a scene of a boxer jogging and his trainer biking in front of him. Some presume that the trainer stole that boxer's bike and that the boxer runs trying to get it back. Too Long of a page

There is too much stuff on this page. Fifi has a huge fan base, so there's a ton of stuff on here. You should Really trim down the page when it comes to love interests, because there's too many, and some only appear in one episode. Also I'm going to get rid of the thing about Paul Dini being engaged to Fifi and saying it's incorrect, of course it's incorrect, it's a gag.
