Can't seem to find out anything about the "extremely controversial circumstances" surrounding Mr. Chen's resignation from the orchestra in 2003. Does anyone have a reference for that? Jlawniczak (talk) 02:10, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I know some Chinese references, but my English ability does not allow me to precisely translate them. Chen was accused of corruption, and thus Taipei City Department of Culture Affairs (台北市政府文化局) relieved Chen of his post. Chen felt he was humiliated and decided to resign. This news [1] from Taipei Times mentioned some. -- scchiang (talk) 15:51, 27 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the information, and all your good work on this article. By the way, you should be proud of your English -- your ability is very high. Way better than my ability in any Chinese language. Sure wish I had some ability there. I couldn't come up with anything better than what we have now -- the quote from Taipei Times referring to "extremely controversial circumstances." Any idea what Mr. Chen is doing now? Can we add that? Is he fighting to clear his name? The article you reference suggests perhaps he is, but it is not clear. Thanks, Jlawniczak (talk) 00:49, 29 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Again, Scchiang, thanks for all your good work on this article. It is much improved and informative and interesting, all thanks to you, Jlawniczak (talk) 02:19, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Jlawniczak, thank you too for making it better. -- scchiang (talk) 15:41, 12 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]
