history[edit]

This is more about the Mercedarians than the devotion. It would be good to know about the devotion itself, including the aspects of our Lady's influence and gifts to devotees. What might ransom mean in this context? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.189.103.145 (talk) 06:05, 24 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Penultimate Paragraph[edit]

The meaning of the penultimate paragraph (beginning Sicily) is totally opaque. I'd fix it, only I have no idea what it's supposed to mean. C0pernicus (talk) 09:56, 26 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

"Merced"... is this a typo?[edit]

I think the first sentence should read "Nuestra Señora de las Mercedes", not "Nuestra Señora de la Merced". If anyone knows for sure, please correct it. 73.133.224.40 (talk) 01:25, 26 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]
