Legit?[edit]

The institution has quite the reputation as a visa & diploma mill such as here [1] and in reviews of it. Claims made by this "university" should be treated with caution.--PlanespotterA320 (talk) 12:43, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

This is already covered in this article, citing Washington Post. BobFromBrockley (talk) 16:01, 10 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Newlines[edit]

Just logging a section that was recently deleted, in case editors think it should be (partially) restored or used in a new article on the Institute: Fairfax operates a research institute, founded in 2019, the Newlines Institute for Strategy and Policy (formerly the Center for Global Policy) is a foreign policy think tank operating out of Washington, D.C.[1][2][3][4] In March 2021, the Newlines Institute published a 55-page report titled The Uyghur Genocide: An Examination of China’s Breaches of the 1948 Genocide Convention, which that concluded that the Chinese government's ongoing persecution of the Uyghurs constitutes genocide under the United Nations genocide convention.[1][3][4][5][6] The report,[7] was one of the first independent legal analyses into the human rights abuses committed by the Chinese state against the Uyghurs.[1][5][6][8] Newlines Institute also hosts New Lines Magazine, edited by Hassan Hassan and focusing on the Middle East.[9] On 26 May, 2022 they published An Independent Legal Analysis of the Russian Federations Breaches of the Genocide Convention in Ukraine and the Duty to Prevent, covering Russia's genocide of Ukrainians during the 2022 invasion, concluding that Russia bears State responsibility for "direct and public incitement to commit genocide," and "a pattern of atrocities from which an inference of intent to destroy the Ukrainian national group in part."[10] BobFromBrockley (talk) 04:17, 4 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
