Jody Rosen on Eva Tanguay[edit]

Jody Rosen (Huh. No article. Should probably have one, pretty prominent critic) just presented a talk on Eva Tanguay at the Pop Conference at EMP (abstract here). He's clearly been researching her but the talk was, by his own admission, the sort of thing where he was still writing furiously 15 minutes before he presented. Still, that means he'll probably publish something on her soon, so whoever is working on this should keep an eye open. - Jmabel | Talk 19:49, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Also, Rosen quoted Aleister Crowley's passage on her at length. It's a wonderful piece of over-the-top prose, almost certainly out of copyright, and we should try to track it down and quote at least some of it. - Jmabel | Talk 00:33, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Found it reproduced on line on a Thelemite website. It was published 1918, so we could quote all we want. - Jmabel | Talk 00:36, 15 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Recording[edit]

I've provided a link to her sole recording. It's out of copyright, so if anyone wants to upload the media to Commons, there's no reason we can't place the media directly in the article. - Jmabel | Talk 20:06, 14 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
