More Informations about Etherpad Lite[edit]

Notability[edit]

That tag was not addressed Tedickey (talk) 11:44, 6 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I believe it has. the subject is notable for being the first functional web based real-time collaborative editor, and has been covered by several independent, reliable sources in a non-trivial way, as the references indicate. --Waldir talk 00:28, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

keeping see-also from repeating the topic[edit]

Wikipedia:Layout#.22See_also.22_section

Links already included in the body of the text are generally not repeated in "See also"; however, whether a link belongs in the "See also" section is ultimately a matter of editorial judgment and common sense.

Tedickey (talk) 23:44, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Exactly. My editorial judgment is as I stated in my edit summary: I think it might be useful for quick navigation -- I have myself used these related links many times to find an article when I am unsure of, or can't remember, its title, through other related topics, without having to read the text. However, if you think otherwise, and since the guideline recommends it, I won't oppose if you decide to remove it again. --Waldir talk 00:28, 6 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

MeetingWords[edit]

In the "Clones" section, I would like to suggest the addition of MeetingWords, an EtherPad service I am hosting.

Also note, another list of sites offering free EtherPad services is forming at http://doc.etherpad.org/etherpadsites

-- Peter Kaminski (talk) 22:09, 5 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I am in favor of removing the current list and leaving a link to the list at etherpad.org, and merging the current "Clones" section to the "Open-source" section. What do you think? --Waldir talk 05:58, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The list doesn't do much for the topic, being primarily a set of advertisements Tedickey (talk) 08:43, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure I understood your position. Do you agree with my proposal, or prefer the way it is? --Waldir talk 12:54, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
The list here was useful early in the transition to open source, but now that etherpad.org has started to maintain a list, I like the suggestion to remove the list here and replace it with a link to etherpad.org. --Peter Kaminski (talk) 19:02, 6 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
That would be an improvement Tedickey (talk) 01:04, 7 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately the link http://doc.etherpad.org/etherpadsites doesn't go to anything - and I am looking for it as I have used it before. I didn't see it as an advertisement - more a place to find those places. ~~ MarkDilley (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 23:14, 15 April 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Towards an EtherPadWiki[edit]

I left a note on: GoogleSideWiki:SuggestingAndMonitoringEtherPadWiki --Fridemar (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 21:59, 3 May 2010 (UTC).[reply]

Hi Fridemar: The version of Etherpad at http://github.com/redhog/pad includes a wiki-style links plugin; this will likely be merged into the mainline version soon. Since you like GoogleSideWiki, you may also be interested in GravPad (currently in development, see for example http://gist.github.com/450418). Arided (talk) 23:53, 23 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

External links modified[edit]

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Etherpad. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Maintenance and rating of JavaScript articles[edit]

Concerning editing and maintaining JavaScript-related articles...

Collaboration...[edit]

If you are interested in collaborating on JavaScript articles or would like to see where you could help, stop by Wikipedia:WikiProject JavaScript and feel free to add your name to the participants list. Both editors and programmers are welcome.

Where to list JavaScript articles[edit]

We've found over 300 JavaScript-related articles so far. If you come across any others, please add them to that list.

User scripts[edit]

The WikiProject is also taking on the organization of the Wikipedia community's user script support pages. If you are interested in helping to organize information on the user scripts (or are curious about what we are up to), let us know!

If you have need for a user script that does not yet exist, or you have a cool idea for a user script or gadget, you can post it at Wikipedia:User scripts/Requests. And if you are a JavaScript programmer, that's a great place to find tasks if you are bored.

How to report JavaScript articles in need of attention[edit]

If you come across a JavaScript article desperately in need of editor attention, and it's beyond your ability to handle, you can add it to our list of JavaScript-related articles that need attention.

Rating JavaScript articles[edit]

At the top of the talk page of most every JavaScript-related article is a WikiProject JavaScript template where you can record the quality class and importance of the article. Doing so will help the community track the stage of completion and watch the highest priority articles more closely.

Thank you. The Transhumanist 01:08, 12 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
