Erwin James real name[edit]

Wikipedia does not permit Original Research. Information which is not in any single source, but constructed by combining multiple sources or interpeting one in ways that are not obvious is considered Original Research. Do not post claims, either here or in the article, as to what James' real name is unless those claims (explicitly linking James and the alleged real name) have been published in a reliable source, such as a major newspaper. If you think you have such a case, exercise caution by posting here first, and merely linking to the source you want to include. (See policy on living persons for why are we are particularly careful in such cases.) Rd232 talk 13:01, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I see what you mean and that's fair enough given the editorial constraints of Wikipedia that you mention. Thanks for that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 203.129.39.151 (talk) 21:36, 21 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

To be fair, you should also block the 12:29 14 March 2009 edition of the page. It mentions a reference to wife and daughter that is not supported by the relevant webpage (it is from archived bbc.co.uk material and may not refer to Erwin James at all). You will note multiple changes over a short space of time ... I did not realise the page was actually being varied. I though these continued to be versions accessible only by me. 203.129.39.151 (talk) 05:26, 22 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for pointing it out, but I don't think the info there is a problem. Rd232 talk 05:34, 25 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Full name seems to be reliably reported here by his Guardian editor. http://www.guardian.co.uk/theguardian/2009/apr/24/erwin-james-monahan-guardian.

Also corroborated by an Erwin James article in todays Guardian here... http://www.guardian.co.uk/society/2009/apr/24/erwin-james-journalism. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 15.195.185.230 (talk) 09:28, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Agree this is now a reliable source to add the name to the article. Gonzonoir (talk) 10:25, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
There's a redirect page at James Monahan, pointing to a synonymous US politician; I've added a disambig link to the target article to point back to here. Gonzonoir (talk) 11:15, 24 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
