To the Editors. The story of Ermoupolis deserves to be told also in the form of a travel story, thoroughly researched and prepared, so I would like to contribute with the following External Link on the Syros page and on the Ermoupolis page as well:

"On Aegean Waves" Terje Raa presents Ermoupolis, past and present, in an illustrated travel story

Rating the article's importance[edit]

How come that Syros is rated as a mid-importance article and Ermoupoli as high-importance? Pel thal (talk) 08:50, 18 June 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed merge with Azolimnos Syros[edit]

Beach article does not state notability/warrant being separate from the town article. Classicwiki (talk) (ping me please) 17:24, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Notability not established. Ermoupoli is mostly empty and can house this information. Classicwiki (talk) (ping me please) 17:29, 31 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

  • Disagree an archaeological museum is independent;y notable, certainly in Greece; and the subject is sufficiently distinct from that of Ermoupoli. What is needed is to flesh out the museum article, not a merge. Constantine 17:31, 3 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

In modern Greek, is the city pronounced with an Ἑ ("He") or Ε ("E")? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 65.216.227.119 (talk) 02:17, 22 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
