Assessment[edit]

Convert the list in the lead to prose. Then also I'd switch to all footnote citations, as you have some inline external links/cites. Then this appears too almost exclusively use primary sources as references, which is great for a legal brief. Wikipedia prefers the use of secondary sources to avoid original research that can occur through the interpretation of primary source documents. Include more under the "Earnings gap" subtitle. Include information on how much women's salaries rose shortly after the passing of the Equal Pay Act of 1963. How much did women's salaries rise one year after the Act's passing versus five years? How did this affect white women's pay versus women of color? Additionally, update the current wage gap to 2022 from 2018. Ksparr (talk) 02:44, 26 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Political Advocacy Vice Fact[edit]

"Nonetheless, the EPA’s equal pay for equal work goals have not been completely achieved, as demonstrated by the BLS data and Congressional findings within the text of the proposed Paycheck Fairness Act." The BLS data cannot test EPA equal pay for equal work goals; only individual court cases can test a law. Furthermore, Congressional "findings" are not scientific in any way. They simply represent what a member of Congress wrote down on paper and other members voted for. Jnelsonleith (talk) 10:12, 30 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Impac: Pay Gap[edit]

I propose to either remove or replace the information in the Pay Gap section. Since the statistic are not controlled for the same job. An interesting and welcome fact to be sure but not relevant to this article given the context. TauGuys (talk) 17:05, 19 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
