rm text, meaning unclear[edit]

"In some cases, additional forest logging is done in the vicinity of mines to increase the gold volume for the sick and room for the storage of the created debris and soil.[1]" Elinruby (talk) 15:48, 4 December 2016 (UTC) also, I can't get into that reference but I am not sure it supports the statement in ront of it, based on the little I do see.Elinruby (talk) 15:49, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Necessary?[edit]

"If fewer ants are found, chances are higher that other organisms living in the surrounding landscape are strongly affected by the high copper levels as well. Ants have good judgement whether an area is habitual as they live directly in the soil and are thus sensitive to environmental disruptions."

Impact of Phosphate Mine Contamination on Coral Reef Biodiversity[edit]

I added a section pertaining to coral reefs to illuminate the impact mining contamination can have on coastal ecosystems when mobilized by local watersheds.
